THE

STRONG

MOTHER

PROJECT

Bringing power & healing by connecting mothers & sharing their everyday stories.

Mother and Daughter

Every Mother is a Strong Mother.

Sometimes we loose sight of that woman. Sometimes we think she doesn't exist. And sometimes we just need a little extra support. That's why I created The Strong Mother Project.

Motherhood has always been one of the highest callings because of the challenges it brings. As our world changes, the weight and responsibility grows.

It is easy to feel lost, forgotten, disconnected and unseen in the day-to-day life of a mother.

We need each other.

We need to hear each other's stories.

Your story can be big or small. About joy, pain, or a little bit of both. It can be about the ordinary or the extraordinary.

Join me as this May, in honor of Mother's Day, I daily share the story of a Strong Mother. You can find the stories by following on Instagram @TheStrongMotherProject.

DM me there to share your everyday motherhood story and your picture and be featured.

Together we can ease one another's burdens through the simple power of words.

What is your Strong Mother story?

MY STORY

Being a Professional Organizer, as well as Life Coach, people often assume my home and life are pretty much perfect. I always laugh at this as I've spent much of my life in disarray, overwhelm, and chasing perfect only to end up exhausted, guilt-ridden, and defeated.

Then one day it was like God gently tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, "Balance". From that time on I've sought it out and discovered perfect isn't our goal here in this mortal life. Learning how to be more intentional and bring more balance and purpose to our lives has far more meaning.

One of my biggest turning points happened after the birth of my second son via emergency c-section and spending about a month in the hospital due to complications and a serious life threatening infection. I knew I was going through that experience so that I could better connect with and help other women, I just hadn't realized how yet.

It was that experience that helped me see how truly we are all StrongMothers, and I started The Strong Mother Project

I believe every woman who has ever carried a child -in her body, her arms, or her heart- is a strong mother.

I have also learned over and over that I am not a lone. That what I am experiencing there is another woman out there who understands. Who has cleaned up poo and flour spills. Who's battle bed time and Target tantrums. Whose felt loss, fear, and heartache.

The more I hear their stories, the more I am comforted, and they strengthen me. It is my hope that by sharing these stories it may strengthen your own belief in yourself and your divine role of mother, no matter what that looks like.

I BELIEVE EVERY WOMAN WHO HAS EVER CARRIED A ANOTHER BEING WHETHER IT BE

- IN HER BODY, IN HER ARMS, OR IN HER HEART-

IS A STRONG MOTHER.

"She saw me. She knew. She Understood."

My sweet amazing nurse midwife became my safe space after my traumatic birth. She too had been through a life threatening delivery. She saw me. She knew. She understood.

She knew the guilt.

She knew the pain.

She knew the fear.

She knew the struggle.

She knew the heartache.

but, she also knew the gratitude.

She knew the hope.

She knew the healing.

She knew the grace.

She knew the love.

She knew the joy.

She knew the strength.

She became a great source of light, support, and comfort for me in the darkest time of my life.

Be a source of light for someone else. Share your story. Share the project.
